Review of Sinful Magic by Jennifer Lyon

Synopsis From Jennifer's Website:
A FORBIDDEN LOVE WILL FULFILL HER DESTINY
Roxanne “Roxy” Banfield refuses to be like her mother, a fertility witch who uses sex as nothing more than a magical weapon. Roxy rejects that life and is determined to become mortal to pursue her dream of real love and a family. All she has to do is avoid meeting the one man whose sensuality can release her powers. But steering clear of this magnetic stranger is easier said than done.
Wing Slayer Hunter Kieran “Key” DeMicca channels the dark violence that lives inside him into a popular comic book series about an ancient dragon named Dyfyr, but only Key knows that Dyfyr is real. Lately he finds himself drawing images of a young woman in peril, and assumes that she’s just a product of his imagination—until he meets Roxy. Struck by her beauty and her resemblance to his sketches, he feels compelled to protect her. As steamy magic, lethal danger, and timeless love collide, Roxy must become what she swore she would never be—and inadvertently awake a part of Key that will threaten to destroy them both.

My Thoughts:
The latest book from Jennifer Lyon in her Wing Slayer Hunter Series and I must say that it doesn’t fail to deliver. The main premise of the series has not altered. The Wing Slayer Hunters are still trying to defeat Asmodeus and save as many earth witches as possible. This book just adds the story of Roxy Banfiled and Kieran DeMicca to the mix.
Roxy and Kieran are about to descend into the “Soul Mirrors” section of Hell on Wheels. Until they can complete the process the going is rough and in this installment sex magic is the magic of choice so the going is “hell hot” indeed!
Roxy is a fertility witch who wants nothing to do with her powers, in fact, she decides to never give in to them after many nasty experiences as a child with her mother’s use of her gift and the consequences it caused. Roxy knows that if she doesn’t get awakened her powers will remain latent until she finally turns mortal and there is no possibility that they ever will. Easier said then done.
Kieren, (Key) is a tortured artist and warrior Wing Slayer. He takes his bloodlust and pain and uses it by penning a graphic novel about a dragon named Dyfyr. Dyfyr is actually a part of him through a spell when he was but an infant, and Dyfyr hungers to find his love. Kieren later finds out the graphic drawings are actually real scenes concerning his half brother Liam, whom he had thought long dead Liam is killing off fertility witches in an evil plot to find and steal the Dragon Tear which can kill the Wing Slayer god. After drawing an unknown woman in his drawings, Kieren meets her at a convention and realizes he is her awakening. This is where the story starts the wild ride.
Will Kieran and Roxy manage to wake Dyfyr and rid themselves of Liam and the tear? Will they find happiness?
This book is an exciting ride into characters we’ve already grown to know and love. I like that we continue to see them in each new book. A good plot, intrigue, violence and erotic, sensual sex round out this book and give it good balance.
